About boringBar
boringBar puts a taskbar along the edge of a Mac screen in place of the Dock. Every open window gets its own chip, and by default the bar only shows windows from the desktop you are on, with a desktop switcher, scrolling between desktops and thumbnail previews on hover. It also has a searchable app launcher on a global shortcut, pinned apps, unread badges from macOS notifications, grouping of windows by app and bars on every display; on macOS 27 it adds an Option-Tab window switcher and snap layouts. It needs macOS 14 or later and has a 14-day trial with all features unlocked. A personal perpetual license is $29.99 for two Macs with a year of updates, a yearly personal plan starts at $7.99, and business licenses are billed per user per year.
