Locker is a file storage and sharing platform that you run on your own infrastructure instead of paying for Dropbox or Google Drive. Files can live on local disk, AWS S3, Cloudflare R2 or Vercel Blob, switched with one environment variable, and a workspace can replicate files across several stores. It offers share links with passwords, expiry dates and download limits, search inside images and PDFs through text extraction, team workspaces with role-based access, API keys, and a virtual shell for moving through files with commands like ls, cd, grep and cat. The code is public on GitHub and the project is free to use; you pay only for the servers and storage you host it on. It is built with Next.js, PostgreSQL and tRPC and deploys to any Node.js host.
