About Maali
Maali is a personal finance app for Mac and Windows that keeps all of your data on your own computer and works with the network turned off. You import your bank's statement files or connect once through SimpleFIN, a separate read-only service that costs about $15 a year. Maali categorizes charges and remembers your corrections per merchant, lists recurring charges and flags price increases, and tracks net worth and retirement targets. An optional AI analyst runs locally after a one-time 5 GB download and answers questions about your money; every dashboard and forecast works without it. There is no account and no tracking. The full app is free for 30 days, then costs $99 once with updates included, and a live demo with sample data is on the site.
