About Sygal
Sygal is a desktop app and CLI that turns documents into clean Markdown and structured JSON on your own computer. It accepts 29 input formats, including PDFs, Word and Excel files, images, scans, web pages and YouTube links, and keeps a searchable local library of everything you convert. It is aimed at developers preparing material for RAG pipelines and agents, and at people handling sensitive files they do not want to upload. OCR runs through a provider you choose with your own API key, and each document shows a token count next to a preview of the original. It is sold as a one-time licence after a 14-day trial.
