1667 is a full-screen terminal program for writers who draft fiction with a language model. You write or direct the next part of a story, and it generates one paragraph at a time and then waits. Every retake is kept as a sibling you can flip through with the arrow keys, and a map view shows the story as a tree of branches, so you decide which takes form the final version. It connects to OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenRouter or a local server such as Ollama, LM Studio or llama.cpp, using your own keys. Projects are plain files in a folder you choose and export to Markdown. It needs no account, collects no telemetry, is licensed Apache-2.0 and installs on macOS, Linux and Windows.
