Davit is a macOS front end for Apple's own container platform, letting Mac developers run Linux containers without installing Docker Desktop. From one window you can start, stop, restart and delete containers, watch live CPU, memory and IP details, and manage images, volumes and networks. It opens a shell in a running container with one click, can recreate a container from an existing one with different ports, environment variables or mounts, and imports a docker-compose file while warning about options it cannot handle. It needs macOS 15 on Apple Silicon, costs nothing, and its source is on GitHub under the MIT licence.
