Flostep is a web tool for building system and process diagrams that viewers walk through one interaction at a time instead of reading a static picture. You drag in components such as frontends, services, databases, caches, queues and external APIs, label the interactions between them, or import a diagram from simple A -> B text lines. It suits engineers preparing system design interviews or reviews and teams documenting processes or onboarding new hires. Diagrams can be shared as read-only links, embedded with a single iframe and commented on, and there is an MCP server, a CLI and a GitHub Action. The free plan keeps three diagrams.
