About Kekoso
Kekoso is a speech-to-text app for Apple Silicon Macs where recognition runs on the device. It handles four jobs: dictating into any app with a hotkey, transcribing audio and video files or YouTube links into timestamped TXT, SRT or VTT, recording calls with your microphone and the other side on separate tracks, and running a local MCP server so tools like Claude Code, Claude Desktop and Codex can transcribe through it. There is no cloud processing, subscription or account, and your own vocabulary is applied to dictation. It costs $29 once after a 7-day trial and needs macOS 14.4 or later.
