Lumae is a native macOS app for recording software demos and taking screenshots that come out looking edited. Recordings get automatic zooms on clicks, a smoothed cursor, motion blur, captions, voiceover, backgrounds and window framing, and screenshots can be marked up with arrows, blur and callouts. Coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex and Cursor can edit projects through its MCP server. It is written in Swift for macOS 26 and installs from a DMG or with Homebrew. The app is in beta and free, with no account, watermark or limits, and the site compares it feature by feature with Screen Studio, Screen Charm and Tight Studio.
