About MakiRoll
MakiRoll is a video recording app for people who find it hard to talk to a camera. Instead of watching yourself, you tell Maki the topic and answer the follow-up questions it asks while the camera records. When you finish, it picks out the strongest self-contained segments, suggests a story, and lets you reorder, trim or drop clips before exporting the cut you approve. Raw recordings and finished videos stay on your device, while transcripts go to its servers. It works on the web and as an iPhone app, and Android users can add the web app to their home screen. Three free videos (with a watermark) let you try it; plans then start at $7.50 a month billed yearly, up to $25 a month for unlimited videos.
