Muesli is a free macOS app for speech to text that runs inference locally on Apple Silicon using the FluidAudio library. It covers two jobs: hotkey dictation that pastes text into whatever input box you are using, and automatic transcription of meetings captured from your microphone and system audio. It reads upcoming meetings from the macOS Calendar, Google Calendar or both. You can download it from the site or install it with Homebrew (brew install --cask muesli). The code is on GitHub under the MIT license, and the site's FAQ explains the macOS permissions it needs for pasting, the global hotkey and meeting capture.
