About RainbowSay
RainbowSay is a Mac app for learning, teaching or researching a language with TV series, films, videos and podcasts. It listens to the audio playing on your Mac (it does not record the screen), pauses at the end of each sentence, and shows a card with the translation, vocabulary and grammar of what was just said. Other modes give speaking practice and live subtitles, in up to three languages at once on paid plans. It runs on macOS 14.2 or later with Apple Silicon. New users get a one-time free starter credit. Pro costs $29 a month ($290 a year) and Max $100 a month, each with a monthly allowance shared across listening, speaking and subtitles.
