Oak is a version control system and hosting service designed for teams where coding agents do much of the work. Agents can mount a repository lazily instead of cloning it in full, work in their own branches or in multi-repo agent spaces, and send changes to humans for review. It includes CI that runs GitHub Actions workflows on your own machines, path-level permissions, API keys, webhooks and an HTTP API. Oak imports from git and can export the full history back to a plain git repository at any time. During the beta it is free, with 100 GB of storage per organization and unlimited repositories and members; the team says paid plans will return at about $10 a month for individuals and $30 per seat for teams. It is built by Oakspace Inc. in Seattle.
