rhun is a small code editor for Windows, Linux and Apple silicon Macs, written in assembly. It focuses on the features many developers use every day: tabs, syntax highlighting, fuzzy search, an optional Vim mode, a built-in terminal emulator with 24-bit color and scrollback, and Git with staging, diffs and commit history. It can draft commit messages with a local model or with your Claude Code or Codex subscription, and it can follow a project's Claude Code and Codex sessions while they run. About 40 light and dark themes are included, with automatic switching to match the system. rhun is open source under the MIT license, has no telemetry, and installs from GitHub releases or with a one-line script.
