smooth gives AI agents a hosted browser they can use to search, scrape and act on websites. Each session pairs a sandboxed Chromium with small models specialised in web tasks rather than a large general model, which the team says keeps runs fast and cheap. You can describe a task in natural language, extract schema-validated JSON, or save pages as Markdown, screenshots or PDFs, and sessions can stay logged in, use proxies, deal with captchas and reach localhost. It has Python and TypeScript SDKs and a CLI for Claude Code and other agents. The free plan includes welcome credits and 2 concurrent browsers at $0.005 per step; Starter is $50 a month with $50 of credits and 10 browsers, Growth is $500 a month, and Enterprise is custom.
